Political Steroetypes

From GMSV:

As the AP explains: "In simplest terms: A homeowner who drives a Volvo, reads The New Yorker magazine and shops at Whole Foods Market likely leans Democratic. A pickup driver with a hunting or fishing license who reads Time magazine probably leans right." Some other nuggets from previous research: Jaguar owners are those most likely to vote, according to the book, Hyundai drivers among those least likely. Dr. Pepper is the only sugared soft-drink with a GOP-leaning consumer base, and NFL viewers tend to be Republican

I'm democratic and don't drive a Volvo, nor read The New Yorker, nor shop at Whole Foods. (I much prefer Trader Joe's). And I love to watch football.

from the bleat...

''If the last words I hear on this earth are “I remember Chuck E Cheese, Dad,” I will die with a smile on my lips.''

For me, perhaps King's Dominion or Denny Slab...

CE/BCE

So my daughter comes home and tells me they have changed their social studies and history books not use BC/AD. Instead use BCE and CE. What's up with this? Why are they changing terms that dates have been using for, like, ever.

I imagine it is as to not offend anyone non-Christian. But it is still based on the birth of christ, so how does it matter. Bah. Politcal correctness strikes again.

Here is what the wikipedia says...
